I am the founding designer for the 'gennyville' label. As a hopeless beach-bum-princess-surfer-girl
at heart, and armed with a BFA in Fashion Design, I came up with the idea for Gennyville one summer
while teaching middle school students 'fashion design fun' at a summer camp. After using some batik
for a sewing class, I began to look at this fabric a bit closer. I was amazed at the endless amount of
colours and prints available and the origins from Bali appealed to my love of the beach. I then began
creating designs using 2 or more colours. It was then, that I knew I could offer something unique, a
truly one-of-a-kind design for everyone, any age, at home, the beach or for a hip, eclectic beach-y style.
